Harbourfront Centre

Harbourfront Centre is a key cultural organisation on the waterfront of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Harbourfront Centre Marina’s consist of three pleasure craft docking areas for different sized vessels boasting the closest dockage to the City core. Nearby, there are many local shops, major attractions, theatres, professional sports, and concert venues. Slips are available for seasonal, monthly, and visiting craft, all enjoying quick access to Toronto Harbour and Lake Ontario.

Marina Quay West is a 140-slip marina located adjacent the City of Toronto Music Garden. It is a quieter location with greater slip availability. Marina Four is a protected, 90-slip marina, adjacent Harbourfront’s outdoor Concert Stage and many festivals and activities that define Harbourfront Centre. John Quay, located at historic Pier 4, is used exclusively for larger visiting pleasure craft and ships from approximately 45 feet to 120 feet in overall length.

With three busy docking areas in a key downtown location on the Toronto Waterfront, Harbourfront Centre needed a management system to help its team deliver the best possible service to its customers.

Craig Weekes, Manager of Marine Operations explains how they are using the system, ‘Harbourfront Centre initially used Harbour Assist for summer slip renewals at our two marinas. This included communication with customers re marina updates, the payment of a deposit and then the later acceptance of a contract, terms and conditions and an invoice. Harbour Assist makes this process seamless for both staff and customers. Reports from customers has been extremely positive with comments like “this is the way it should work”, “brilliant system” and “thanks for such a great dashboard”.

Craig continues, ‘Harbourfront Centre hopes to expand use of the system to beyond our to marinas to include other pleasure craft dockage areas and commercial berths on our managed properties. We will also use it for winter berthing needs. Overall onboarding with Harbour Assist was amazing. The continuous navigation support from the Harbour Assist team was most reassuring. There was no hesitation and if a slightly stormy sea developed Harbour Assist Team members were right on it. We felt supported at every step from the initial data transfer, training to initial customer use. They continue to assist us in every way possible. It has been a pleasure working with the team at Harbour Assist. We look forward to a long productive voyage!’
