Harbour Assist Customers triumph again in TYHA Marina Awards

In the maritime world, excellence in marina management is a testament to a combination of exceptional customer service, top-notch facilities, and a commitment to environmental sustainability. Each year, The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) recognizes the best in the business through its Marina of the Year Awards. This years winners were announced at the Southampton Boat Show in September, and it’s no surprise that Harbour Assist customers took the spotlight in numerous categories.

Carole Turner, one of the Emsworth Yacht Harbour office team says, ‘I feel very proud to be a part of a team that not only works hard but puts their heart and soul into the marina. The Best Inland Marina award runner-up was Shepperton Marina.  Having implemented Harbour Assist just a few months before the lockdown of March 2020, the team at Shepperton fully embraced the changes a new system brought along.

‘Since introducing Harbour Assist in 2019, we have seen vast improvements across all aspects of running a Marina,’ says Lisa Harris, Marina Manager at Shepperton Marina.  ‘Communicating with our customers is quick and easy to do and all communications logs are visible to all staff.  We can now send out our renewal invoices within minutes, increasing efficiency ten-fold and our customers can easily settle invoices with a click of a few buttons, making the process much more convenient for them, as well as us! The Asset Maintenance part of the system has helped us ensure all issues are dealt with promptly, we received 97% in our latest Health and Safety Review thanks to Harbour Assist!

These are just some examples behind why our customers feel so strongly in voting for us in the Marina of the Year Awards, time and time again,’ continues Lisa.

Haslar Marina

Another of boatfolks marinas scooped the Environmental Sustainability award with Haslar Marina triumphing in this category.  Sustainable practices are increasingly important in the marina industry, and Harbour Assist customers are leading the way in this area.

And finally, the Customer Service Excellence award went to Daniel Mellor, Assistant Marina Manager at Kip Marina.  The heart of any successful marina is its customer service and we believe Harbour Assist aids this through the efficient tools and features of the system.

Daniel commented, ‘It was absolutely brilliant to hear that Kip Marina was runner up this year for the Coastal Marina of the year. For our team of excellent employees to read some of the great comments was a joy.  To further hear that I had won the Marina Employee of the Year award was the icing on the cake, to receive this award means a lot to me.’

The 2023 TYHA Marina of the Year Awards has highlighted the remarkable achievements of Harbour Assist customers in various categories. These marinas not only demonstrated their commitment to excellence but also showcased the power of Harbour Assist’s marina management solutions in helping them achieve their goals.  As the marine industry continues to evolve, the partnership between Harbour Assist and our customers ensures that boaters and visitors will continue to enjoy world-class experiences at these award-winning marinas.
