Tollesbury Marina

Lying 9 miles east of the historic port of Maldon and 12 miles south of Britain’s oldest recorded town, Colchester, Tollesbury Marina is located on the picturesque salt marshes of the River Blackwater, in the heart of the Essex countryside.

Tollesbury – affectionately known as the ‘village of the plough and sail’ – is a great place for walkers and nature lovers.

Tollesbury Marina, established in 1970, is far more than just a place to keep a boat. It has been designed as a boating centre for all the family, with a range of on-site activities to cater for every need. With a swimming pool, tennis courts and the Harbour View Restaurant there’s plenty to do whilst waiting for the tide!

With 240 berths, 185 hard standing and 18 camping pitches, Tollesbury Marina is a busy place, so they needed a system that was flexible and able to handle all the different aspects of their business.

Having made the decision in the Summer of 2021 that Harbour Assist was the right system for them moving forward, the team at Tollesbury decided the best time for the implementation to start would be in the Autumn to avoid peak season.

After training, which took place just before Christmas, it was all systems go for them to go live in early January 2022.

Louise Goldie, Director at Tollesbury Marina said “Tollesbury Marina required a more modern system which could be accessed from the office, pontoons or from home. Harbour Assist was the obvious choice and as we get to grips to the system, we will reap all the benefits that Harbour Assist has to offer.
